All you need for wonderful curtains!

Happy New Year
I know it is cold but I love the snow!
There is something so pristine and beautiful that I always get excited just looking out! Mosty we have managed to get to work as we have several urgent projects which must be completed by the end of the month.
All of a sudden we are making velvet curtains! silk velvet, printed velvet, embroidered velvet and a rainbow of plain colours - out of fasion for close on 30 years, Velvet is our recession 'comfort' fabric.
Recently, we saw some beautiful new fabrics from Romo - have a look at Anis and Cicely embroidery. Still with the embroidered theme, Voyage have new a crewelwork - yes it is machine embroidered but the pattern matches so that the finish of the curtains will be precise.
Also a beautiful new collection from G P & J Baker, books will be here in a day or two. Back on the Velvet theme, Linwood have a great new collection with Fortuny silver and gold overtones.
The display & pattern areas are nearly finished - just the beaded Romans to be fitted! and the whole of the first floor is now one big pattern library . Display lengths from many of the top fabric houses will show the elegance or the drama of many new fabrics.

It is always a good day with prices starting at 50p for a cushion's worth. Cash, cheque or card
This year we will be sharing the proceeds with St Nicholas Hospice, our local, Bury St Edmunds charity. |
